Does Hoard think he still has as many fans as before?

Today, when he was crying about the lawsuit AGAIN, he said he would leave and go to another medium, and make that medium a huge success all the while killing Sirius. OK, he made Sirius a huge success because admittedly, we followed him like sheep. We made a huge mistake. My point is that there is no way he has as many followers now, is there? I mean, he has different fans, but no way does he have the number that followed him to Sirius.

How dare you insinuate that Mary Ann and Bobo aren't a massive following!

He's got at least 15 die hard fans left, there's a great jpg in one of today's threads.

The only other medium left is internet, but the pay downgrade would shock him to the core.

If he went podcast it could pull in about 4 million a year, so he'd have to fire the whole staff and put out ONE podcast a month to get 1/50th of his current weekly salary. Just a solitary elderly fella talking into a USB microphone about portions of salmon and The Bachelor. Nothing sadder than an old queen.

    Last numbers I saw:

Although Sirius XM does not release numbers on listener statistics, estimates put Stern’s following anywhere from between 1.2 and 1.7 million listeners each week. Analysts predict that as Stern is on contract (slated to end in 2015), Sirius XM will remain attractive to
    subscribers.

Not quite the 14 mill that he stated a few weeks ago.

Howeave knows the writing is on the wall. The real question (for him at least) is "How many more marbles can I grab from this before they catch on that my show sucks."

Howeave seems like a good name for him. If he has anything, it's probably a weave. Allegedly.

If he ever tries to Podcast, I bet he'll try to charge a subscription to stream the show with no downloads.

Howard didn't make Sirius what it is today, and neither did his listeners. Sirius succeeded by making deals with auto makers to get radios into cars and gave away free trial subscriptions. He might have been important the first year he was there, but now he probably has just enough paying listeners for Sirius to recover the cost of the show.

Howard only cares about the fans when he needs them to rally around him during contract negotiations. He's just like the baseball stars who coast in the early years of their contracts, then put up big stats in the final year to make an impression in the free-agent market. He may not realize that his fanbase is mostly gone but thanks to AGT everyone else does, including Sirius and other potential employers. He'll have to retire or fund his own project and we all know he won't do that.

Before the merger, XM had more subscribers without Howard than Sirius had with Howard.

The above is strictly my exaulted opinion. Allegedly.

Howard's next move. He will fit right in with the rest of the foggies. (Actually it's more interesting than THSS).

No. He did not make Sirius a success.
XM was the bigger company in the merger!

Howard had a small impact on Sirius. Maybe 1-2 millions followed him to Sirius. The problem is that less then 100K still listens to him.

All subscribers come from car sales. XM / Sirius.

Today: more XM subscriptions are sold then Sirius. Howard have ZERO impact.

The problem is that Howard is surrounded with yes-men. Howard really believe that 60% of 23 millions listens exclusive to him. All because of a survey back in 2007 when people answered that they listened to Howard.

The last real ratings from 2007 is 1.2million total listeners in a week. 200K per day.

I am a huge Howard fan, but he have made me hate him passionately. I want to put Howard into the gas chamber I have built on my backyard.

In Howard's mind, he still thinks he could amass a large enough crowd to match the one when he left terrestrial radio. (actually this crowd sounds smaller than I remember...)

The way I would read this statement above "between 1.2 and 1.7 million listeners each week" = between 400,000 to 566,666 listeners each day. To me, this would be the more realistic number.

This is howard's core audience these days. As long as they call and kiss his ass, he still thinks
his audience is the size it was in 1997.
