If Booey ever got demoted, he probably would quit just on principle. No way would Booey be pushed around like he used to, especially from someone like Jason. If Booey were smart, he would have some good $$$ saved in the bank, but um... it's BaBa Booey. That's probably why he's the techno beaver nowadays....

Although from Stern's standpoint, it probably would make sense to fire Booey and replace him with Jason, as it all boils down to marbles. I really do feel sorry for the staff in a way, because if Howeave doesnt get his way, their jobs are kaput. You'd think they would have jumped ship by now.

This could be true but the funny part is he won't get another producer job or any job that pays nearly what he is making now. If he does get a job it would be by a show friend however he would ultimately get canned pretty quickly once they find out he is no producer and has no decernable talent besides getting picked on by his boff.

Does Brandano still work there? Is he getting promoted? Someone has to be smart enough to leave at this point. At this rate the will either wither and die or it will just get shit canned. My guess is Howie would be the only guy still getting paid. Maybe Robin and Fred. Gary is not getting fired, he knows where all the pussy is buried. But I sure bet he could retire, leave.

If Gary was fired we would again hear a rant how Sirius pocketed the money.
Sirius pays Gary. "Howard-Sirius show budget" pays Jason.

That is also the main reason why Benjy is still there. He is payed directly by Sirius. If Howard fired Benjy, Sirius would just pocket the money like they did with Artie.

JD and others have said that their checks are payed by Sirius. They are covered by Sirius healthcare. No one is hired by Howard's One Twelve that license he show to Sirius.

I have no idea about the current scam, but with the last contract 500 million marbles were paid to 112 productions. With that money he had to pay his staff, build the studio and pay his own greedy ass. It doesn't matter what the check says, because Howard will go to any lengths to deceive people when he's afraid of being found out, and one of the biggest fears Howard has is people finding out his marble situation - how much, how he makes them, how it relates to the rest of the staff.



His greed is superhuman, so he'll go to any lengths to screw his staff, but he's almost equally afraid of being held accountable. So if that means diverting a sum back to sirius after his take to dole out to the staff, that's what he'll do. My theory was that he set aside a pile of marbles for the staff after he was done gorging himself, and let Sirius/Tim/whoever negotiate with them. And if the staff member didn't reach the set amount Howard was willing to pay, Stern would pocket the difference. So maybe he's set aside 50 million for the entire staff, and say for JD, he's prepared to pay him 75k. But he'll send them back to the company to "negotiate" so that if JD only asks for 70k, Howie just got 5,000 marbles.


Buchwald said a while back that they devised a way to deal with staff payments and salaries that was "absolutely brilliant" back in the 90's. I have a feeling it was something along these lines. It's obvious - Howard always wants everything, but he never wants to be seen taking it. So bring in a Tim Sabean to take all the blame, or he'll hide behind the company. It wouldn't surprise me if Howard ended up in prison for money laundering or stock scams - he really is a Bernie Madeoff type character.
