Booey demotion?

Even though I want to punch Jason in his fat face, I would LOVE to see him get promoted on Feb 5th to either co-producer with Booey, or even better, demoting Booey and making Jason his boss. Any chance either of those things happen, or am I even more delusional than Howard?

Well, I'm on board with all that. However, I don't think this is about money. For all the complaining about budget that Howard does, the staff is really a tiny portion. He could fire everyone, and he'd be lucky to save 2% of the budget because Howard's pay 90% of it. I think he wants to pretend he is running a "brand" and trying to do things more "professional". The problem is, it doesn't matter how he shakes up the jobs, he's still got glorified interns working for him.

Fire Gary. Put Jason in charge of the office and will in charge of guests.

Good points all but it is about the money. Howard is shaking things up, if that's whats happening, to improve the show in every way possible that doesn't include any money or extra effort on his part.

He should fire Booey and use that money to bring in well paid talent and have money left over to hire 2 professional comedy writers. Jason could take over Booey's running the staff responsibilities and Will can handle the guests.

I just typed basically the same thing but if you mean by "pulling their weight" "earning their pay" I would say they are since they're paid very little. The problem Howard is avoiding is replacing them with talent will be expensive.

You need someone to produce year round specials and exclusive best of programs of old tapes that couldn't be replayed on K-Rock. You need three producers when the channels are constantly filled with live programming.

Of course two channels with almost no quality programming besides Jackie's show don't need anyone. And Howard working three days a week needs no one. What? You need three producers? One for each day of the week Howard works?

Artie was a comedic actor who had some experience with writing. And Howard used to care enough to write bits and write down Stuttering John's questions.

Now they have no writers. Benjy? Sal? Richard? Hacks. All of them.

Jackie's Joke Hunt is as good as any comedy podcast. I listen to it every week. But I skip over Penn or Mark Maron's podcasts all of the time. Carolla is hit or miss as well. If you like standup and dirty jokes then Jackie's show is fucking perfect. When he has his friends cold read dirty jokes it is beyond hysterical.

Well, Howard certainly won't be spending any more money. And if he saves any by firing Gary, I don't imagine it will be re-invested in the channels. He will just line his pockets with it. So most likely the money spent will remain the same, but people will get new responsibilities, and Booey will get less.
