Jason Bateman - Almost the old Howard......

My first post..... As my Sirius subscription will expire and I am fine with podcasts and other medians for other forms of listening I will be writing my views on what has happened to the show and why an almost 50 year old has probably had enough.

I've defended Howard and pointed out when he is good, he can be very good as an interviewer and host.

Today was one of those days. I am a fan of Jason Bateman and Howard did a good job. No penis questions and I learned a lot. Too bad Howard is so oblivious to much of what Jason has done and did not ask about Arrested Development or more about Juno or Up In the Air. Of course he did almost go too deep in the psychology and discussions about his father and relationship with his sister.....

Seems like a great guy and fun to hang with.

Oops left for a few minutes..... Missed him asking about his cock..... Give Howard credit, or we were lucky that we didn't have to listen to multiple questions about how often he and his wife have sex...... Jason did a good job deflecting other questions.......

It would be nice if Howard can get Jason's name correctly. Sounded like mush-mouth Imus for part of the interview.

And it was very telling when he went directly to Amanda Peet's name as opposed to the actual fat costar of this movie.

He asked about Arrested Development.

Willing to bet that he glossed over it in order to possibly have Jason back in May when the new shows are released, or when the movie is about to come out, tho.


It WAS one of my fave interviews, tho. I adore Jason Bateman. I only wished that Howard would have asked him about filming that Mike Judge movie, Extract, since Judge is a friend of the show.

Jason really does have some of the best comedic timing and delivery out there.

What was telling however is he knows so little about Jason, Arrested Development and the movies he's done. Also embarrassing that he mentioned Amanda Peet and was lost as to Melissa McCarthy and hasn't seen and figured out anything about the movie when there's been non-stop commercials on TV. However all in all it was much better than many recent interviews and he actually had an engaging, smart surprisingly funny guest. Interesting that he had him a week before his movie opens.

Jason was wrong about how they killed Valerie off when the show became The Hogan Family. He said she died when the house burned down, while that did happen after she left it is not how her character was killed off, she was killed off screen in a car accident.
