I think they started to go downhill even before load, IMO enter sandman had some good songs on it but it started the pussification of metallica and started them down the mainstream road.

Live shows were phenomenal right up till that bullshit documentary 1998-99 or so. Since then I can't bring myself to go to a show. I do agree Justice for all is the last record I can listen all the way through. Although their are some good songs on "The black Album" and after. There are Gems on Garage Inc. But that fucking S&M (S IS FOR SYMPHONY DUDE) and LuLu are harrrible meritless gimmicks.
