That story freaked me the fuck out. what was amazing was her incredible attitude. I would've jumped hopped out a window.
That poor girl ended up getting a flesh eating bacteria after falling off a zip line and landing in a pool of standing water. She suffered a serious cut to her calf and the wound was exposed to the water. The results were that she got an infection and ended up losing both hands, one leg and most of her foot on her other leg.

Lifesaver bottle. Not cheap, but they take cow dung and squeeze the water out of it, run it through, and drink it.

it actually alleviates the symptoms. so the theory is that eczema might be related to bacteria which, on most people's skin is either harmless or has some beneficial effect but in patients with eczema, their bodies react to that bacteria (some protein or something).

    It was fascinating.

It's essentially chlorinating the water. That's all. It's not at all harmful if diluted enough. But if it's too diluted, it won't be much good.

God damn, I remember being a kid and hopping one of the gates at Southaven Park in Suffolk County. By brother'd take a bunch of us local kids to this shallow, but wide stream and we'd fuck around and swim in that shit hoping we'd never get caught. I must have swallowed gallons of water in my times there. How the hell I didn't get sick is beyond me.

I know what you mean. when we were kids, we'd all go swinging off a tire into a creek. endless hours of fun. no flesh-eating bacteria or other gastro-intestinal problems.

Last week I was listening to old tapes where Howard wanted to get a hot tub for his office so he and Jackie could relax while they were writing after the show. He was going on about it day after day... they were looking through catalogs and trying to get a sponsor to buy it. I haven't listened yet to how it all played out.

Howard really should stick his wheelhouse of topics he knows about. Unfortunately for him, that is pretty much limited to Bachelor TV episodes and babysitter porn.

You have to boil it for at least a minute. 180 degrees doesn't do much. Also, someone mentioned adding bleach to water - the proper amount to add is 1 drop of household bleach (that is, 5% chlorine) per liter of water. These methods do not work if the water is heavily polluted with chemicals. These methods only kill bacteria, not remove other contaminants.

It amazes me that he lacks the basic common sense and knowledge that someone his age should possess. Just living 50 + years you pick up a lot of stuff in passing. If he was a teenager I would give him a pass but how the Hell do you not know that bacteria thrives in warm, moist conditions?

    I swear sometimes I think he's a high-functioning retard.

And this guy said he wanted to be a chef
