    Report: Miami PED lists revealed

    http://espn.go.com/espn/otl/story/_/...inic-ped-lists

New York Yankees slugger Alex Rodriguez has hired an attorney and is denying involvement after his name -- along with other baseball players like Melky Cabrera, Nelson Cruz and Gio Gonzalez -- appeared on lists obtained by the Miami New Times from an anti-aging clinic in Miami that allegedly dispensed performance-enhancing drugs.

The names were on records Miami New Times said were given to it by an employee who worked at Biogenesis of America before it closed last month. Miami New Times reported that the records show the firm sold performance-enhancing drugs, including human growth hormone, testosterone and anabolic steroids.

Anthony Bosch, the 49-year-old head of the clinic, was connected to Manny Ramirez when the former MLB star was suspended for 50 games for violating baseball's drug policy in 2009. Bosch has never been charged by local or federal officials..............................

Well, for one thing, it's a self-perpetuating, institutionalized system of cheating. and if anyone's still serious about baseball being America's favorite pastime, what does this say to kids who grow up, loving to play ball?

That they have to take performance-enhancing drugs if they expect to make it to the major leagues?

How the fuck are other ball players supposed to compete against a gigantic, roided-up monsters?

it also cheapens older records when they're surpassed by those who cheated to attain notoriety.

As a met fan I'm laughing this up (not much else to be happy about).

2013 season and A-Rod show is officially underway. This explains A-Rod's 2009 miracle comeback and postseason when he put the team on his back and led them to the championship

Mitchell report basically stated that most of the Yankee/Met roster were PED users in the late 90's. (report only focused on two guys around the Mets and Yankees)

MLB just now has introduced random in season blood tests for PEDS.
    Guys have never stopped using.
Billion dollar ball players will always be one step ahead.
Catching the people supplying the PEDS is the only way they will catch these guys.

They could also do what the Olympics does: take a sample of your blood and save it for future tests and if they discover three years from now that you cheated in 2013, they immediately take your championship away.

I remember the Mitchell report. The mets fingered in the report were LoDuca, Mo Vaughn and David Segui and the most prominant mets during that era (piazza and Alfonzo to name 2 of them) were left off to my great relief.

I agree that HGH has always been used and mlb has a unique drug problem compared to football and basketball because so much of the games history and appeal is the ability to compare stats and players from one era to another (which unfortunately has been soiled forever)
