Something is very, very wrong when you are supposedly pouring hours of prep into show ideas
and the best you can come up with is a spelling bee, sound byte origin game and superfan trivia contest.

And something is wrong with his hiring practices when he's always referring to his staff as "the boys." Someone should drop a dime on him to the EEOC.

It's been obvious from the start that this is another "Emperor's New Clothes" scheme by Howard. Instead of actually doing extra work he just TALKS about it and expects his "loyal subjects" to swallow it hook, line, and sinker and repeat the lie to others until it becomes fact in everyone's mind. Just like the Revolution they claimed took place and is providing entertaining cutting-edge radio. Nothing could be further from the truth but he's still getting away with taking credit for it.

I remember at some point in the late 90's, they had this idea to be like a normal morning zoo and break the show into segments, separating them with a jingle or some sort of annoying sound collage. I wanted to throw my radio out the window. It only lasted a few weeks, I can't imagine who thought it would be a good idea. Probably came from a Stern brainstorming session, along with the annoying "Stolen Vehicle Police Recovery Network" bit.
