She's the best young actress in Hollywood....I can't think of anyone who comes close.

This is a movie that should be seen!

WOW! Just finished it, it is stunning.

It's a true story about a Spanish family and it's a Spanish production applied to a British family. As you watch the movie, you would swear that it was shot during the disaster, that is one serious disaster recreation!

Totally. I think it's the best of all the Oscar nominated movies that I've seen this year. (I haven't seen Amour yet.) I was mad that the oldest boy was not nominated for best supporting actor- he was so good in it. The tsunami scenes are way scary & realistic. 2 thumbs uppppppp!
    This is better than rejuvenation.

If you are a new to Jessica Chastain, do yourself a favor and watch the movie "Jolene". Tons of nudity. She is schmoking hot.

I had been trying to imagine how she looks, I never knew she's already exposed herself.

"Jolene" has a couple of full frontal shots. Lot's of boobs. An awesome scene with her in a strip club. Check it out if you can.

She's the nutty chick on "Homeland". Leave it at that, honey!

Thousands of women would cut her throat to get even that sliver of the pie.

Why tempt fate? She must have sucked and fucked a hundred cocks to get where she is; why throw it all away for a long-shot chance at getting one rung higher on the ladder?

It wan't too long ago that Danes was seen as a weirdo home-wrecker.

Not one good fucking movie in the running for an academy award this year. Come to think of it there weren't any really good movies in 2012.

there's not a "best" anything in that sorry lot of nominations.......................with the possible exception of "Lincoln": I haven't seen it yet, but I'm sure Daniel Day-Lewis is fantastic in it.

And that's my point: you've got Daniel Day-Lewis lumped in with Howard's wet dream Bradley Cooper. You've got 4 mediocre talents playing checkers against a real artist. Well, I like Joaquin Phoenix but I can't bring myself to see any of that Paul Anderson prick's movies, so he's out!

I saw "Silver Linings Playbook". It was a decent rom-com with decent performances but it was nothing special at all. And it's nominated in 4 of the "top" 5 Oscar categories!

It's not even Russell's best movie: "I Heart Huckabees" and yes, "Flirting With Disaster" are WAY better, and where were they during nomination time those years? Nowheres, that's where.

Should any predictable movie get nominated? At any point in "Silver Linings................." did you doubt that the dude was gonna have the chick's legs pinned back behind her ears by the end?

    Of course you didn't.

But tell me you could see 10 minutes up ahead of Huckabees or Flirting With Disaster. You couldn't; they were great rides with much better characters and performances and stories and....................everything.
You just know everything about movies, don't you?

Is it out on DVD yet, or still in the theaters? I will watch it because I like Naomi Watts and Ewan McGregor, but I have heard that while the performances are outstanding, the movie was a bit weak.

I heard that Mama was awesome!! I was encouraged when I saw that Guillermo del Toro was producing, but then I was told that the movie was PG13 so I didn't have high hopes. Not only did the movie do really well at the box office, but the reviews are great. Did you like the movie?

I thought it was good.I took my 13 yr old son and we love scary movies.Would have never guessed that was Jessica Chastain playing the leading lady. And the kids were very good actors. Some of the CGI was a little cheesy, but a good story .I felt I got my money's worth.

I always get her confused with Bryce Dallas Howard.

Tony Mendez's job was to exfiltrate people smoothly without anyone noticing. Drama = capture and an international incident especially with his work in the Soviet Union. The Soviets had military officers disappear without a trace. Thus, the real-life story is the behind the scenes drama of the plot. It reads better than a film, so Bennifer needed to spice the story up for a film.

A better story is the exfiltration of an Iranian military officer a few months before ARGO took place. Mendez disguised a 30-something Iranian Military officer to look like an elderly Jordanian. He freaked out and hid in the airport restroom. Mendez had to pretend he was looking for his relative who forgot his medicine, talked his way past the Revolutionary Guards and talked the trembling officer out of the toilet stall and onto the aircraft.
