I drive a Dodge Ram 1500, it has a hemi. I was pulling on to my side street today and all the parking was taken (I have to park on the sidestreet - no garage or parking lot) and I got mad. I hit the gas a little and the truck took off, BIG time. The side street dead ends pretty quick, and it's a very short street. The truck accelerates quickly and I'm pressing the break as hard as I can - I'm heading directly for two houses. I can't stop the truck and I plow EXACTLY INBETWEEN THE TWO HOUSES. The only thing I hit was a wood fence, and I took it out. Nobody was hurt, I got right out of the truck. HOLY FUCKING SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT. I am one lucky motherfucker - nobody was hurt. Lady living at one of the houses said she was sitting on her step - BETWEEN the two houses five minutes before the accident. My truck has two busted headlights and a FUCKED radiator - needs tons of repairs, but I'm insured. I don't know if A) the truck accelerated out of control on its own, and my slamming on the breaks did nothing, B) I was slamming my foot on the gas instead - I remember the trucks ABS kicking in but the truck just skidding (no skid marks on road, but the roads were soaked), C) A combination of me hitting the gas and break at the same time. What a royally fucked Monday.
