Stay away Scott. It's fucking grosse. You were a partner. They fucked you. Who is Shuli to decide. Ronnie is not just happy with what Shuli decides to give him. JD will NOT take pay cut for you. It's a tarp.

Jon Hein is God is Lord over the Saloon.
The real story is why did 1200 people show up to the block party? Christ, how entertaining can that shit be? Is it the thrill of being in the same room with these people?

Maybe the thrill of seeing the most untalented people In the business make fools of themselves for a few nickels and dimes.
I went to the Los Angeles block party a few months back, not really knowing what to expect. I paid for the $45 meet-and-greet ticket and treated it more like a night out with my buddies who like(d?) the Stern show. It was interesting meeting the players face-to-face, and we got a lot of time to shoot the shit with them before the show.
As for the performance itself, it was a cluster. Everything was at least one notch down from where it should be. Mad Dog Mattern was the best comic IMO. I don't like being a hater for hater's sake, but for all his talk about having to do "an hour" on stage, Shuli did maybe 40 minutes, of which 10 was pandering for crowd response and making show references ("Who here likes Lisa G?" "BOOOOOOO!").
The best/worst thing was when they brought out Nick Cannon's opening act to do a set. Ronnie asked the crowd if they watch AGT, and 90% of them booed. "Oh you watch it!" The guy proceeded to do really lame comedy, and the audience gave him a chance for two minutes. After little-to-no laughter, the crowd (including myself) drowned him out with boos until he said "y'all can suck my dick" and threw the mic down.
TL;DR, if you look at it like a Stern fan convention, it's more than worth the time and money. Granted, I live down the street from the venue, and didn't have to fight for parking. The after party was also cool. I talked to Rob Corddry for a bit and some of the other performers. Eric the Midget was also very nice to me and we discussed wrestling at length before I decided to cut out of there.

Exactly what I've been thinking - who the hell are these people showing up to this boring train wreck.
I know stern fans want to be around other fans - I totally get it - we have something cool in common. But you need to have some self respect - if you're going to pay $$ and spend your time - you should be entertained.
It just sounds BORING !
At least when people showed up to see Artie - they got real entertainment. A comic who has talent and puts a lot of effort into his work.
Shuli is a hack and an embarrassment to the profession
and the rest don't do shit
I can't imagine paying to see the soul-killing antics of these dullards. There is absolutely nothing entertaining about them.
Photography's a joke. Anyone can be a photographer. You do your scary great pictures because you're a professional. I'll take my stupid...automatic camera...take pictures and we'll see if people can tell the difference. - HS, 2-1-02
Shuli Egar = embezzeler
Boyfights champion '79-'83

Shuli always obfuscates when it's implied he is a crook. He doesn't defend himself or argue the accusation - he resorts to name calling and insults. A sure sign of a liar.
What I dont' get is why they shit all over Scott, when he is the one who recorded Zoo Za Zoo and obviously has as much dirt on Howie as anyone. Scott's seen a lot of shit over the years...
(I have mentioned in a previous post today) I was at this past Saturday's block party in AC. It really was bad. Little to no effort or thought has gone into the preparation of the show. Eli Brayden (while talented went on for far too long). the rest of the staff members just stood there screaming with really nothing to say. Sal and Richard (who I think are talented and capable of far more substance) just danced around for a minute in their underwear while Tim's assistant sang can a n****r get a table dance. Jim Florentine performed, then Shuli (which was really downright unremarkable). and then Scott came out and did nothing. So while there may be finanical disputes going on with Scott etc, if I were them I would be happy with whatever I was paid for doing virtually nothing ( and I mean nothing). That being said the venue was about 80% full (mostly guys in their twenties). I am a first time poster (female) so please be kind haha- have a good day.
