NBC having trouble getting anyone to work with Howard?

It is a little over a month away from the first AGT taping and both of the judges' chairs next to Howard are still empty. There aren't any rumors anymore of who might replace Sharon. Howie hasn't reupped even though he said he would decide in January and there are only 3 1/2 days left in the month.

Howard signed on with AGT in December of last year. They were advertising him in the Super Bowl a year ago next week. Now it doesn't look like they will even have three judges for the show by the time the Super Bowl airs.

I wonder if people just don't want to work with that camera hog Howard. Last thing any decent sized name wants to do is come into one of these shows knowing they are second tier to Howard.

Which means they've torn through all of the A, B and C-list stars. Kathy Griffin laughs at that show and she's a self-admitted D-list star.

I also think she'd be way funnier than Howard. She's good at improv and ad libbing. Plus I think she won't hesitate to mercilessly ridicule the contestants.

while being heckled on cnn on a new year's eve show with Anderson Cooper, she yelled at the heckler, "hey, i don't go to your job and tell you how to suck dick. shut up!"

She'd be great at goofing on all the contestants.

I would absolutely love it if the end up scraping the bottom of the barrel for the two replacement judges.

Then the success/failure of the show falls squarely on Howard's shoulders.

You know a caller mentioned jewel today. Of course the wig denied it but it fits perfectly. Wasn't she supposed to be on dancing with the stars and got hurt and get hubby stepped in for her?

My wife and kids seem to remember seeing them years ago in my area. I am sure they are doing just fine. The real question is where has super comic Tom cotter been? Oh yeah he takes the gigs Jackie turns down.

Howie is doing the right thing by holding out for more cash until the last minute. NBC has no choice but to re-sign him. Otherwise they are going to have to try and convince two people to get on board a sinking show. Unless you are a C-list or below celebrity you aren't going to want to do it. It's easier to convince just one person to try and join the show since Howie and Howard will be returning. The new person doesn't have to do much (not that "judging" requires any effort at all).

He announced last month he's already signed on.

Howie or Howard is signed on? I meant Howie Mandel.

    WTF are you talking about?
Howard signed a one year contract with one more optional. AGT would have fired Howard if they didn't have a contract. The payment was agreed upon 2 years ago, no more shekels for the King of all pelicans.

He will be gone after this season.

You and I made the same mistake. he's talking about Howie Mandel, not Howard Stern.

Jewel another guest not booked by booey. Howard had more to do with booming her than the Reese's monkey!
