Is George Takei not giving Howard enough credit?

I was just watching CNN and they did a live interview George Takei talking about his new book, "Oh Myy, There Goes The Internet." They talked about George's popularity, his acting, Brad, being Gay, his fans, etc., etc. Not once did he mention Howard Stern.

Is it just me or does George think he is some current Pop-Culture Icon? The title of his book "Oh Myy," came from the Stern Show. I know he uses it now in commercials but that came from the Stern Show.

I like George. However, like many Stern fans I can't think of anything he did from 1970-2006. Yet he doesn't seem to acknowledge his new popularity is a direct result from the Stern Show.

Am I the only one noticing this????

1970-2006 he did some Star Trek movies. Other than those I can't think of anything main stream. Honestly though, i'm glad there was no mention or credit given to Howard in this case. During the interview with Howard about George's book Howard talked down to George in a "why bother writing a book" manner. I think even George is sick of Howard at this point.

Without a doubt being on the HSS revitalized Takei's career but I always thought he was appropriately willing to acknowledge the fact and was free with the compliments to Howard and the show.

But let's be honest, who goes into show business without having some sort of ego issue. Whether they want everyone's adulation to feed their ego or to make up for deficiencies in their self esteem something is usually off kilter.

And let's not forget Takei, as sweet as he is, is a loon. He's a dumb blonde cross dressing as an Asian senior. The man really takes pride in being a Captain in the fictional world of Star Trek!? That's like being made Head Hobbit and putting it on your resume. The guys a lousy actor with one loser part after another reduced to working Star Trek cruises and to hear him talk he has the career of Al Pacino. So I see nothing strange (and Howard should take no offense) that Takei recounts his struggle he paints himself as the Ulysses.

I still like him but he shouldn't be back on the show for a loooooong time.

Howard may have made his name more recognizable, but George was working just fine before Howard came along. Doesn't matter whether we like the shows he did, or whether we've seen them or not. It's just you.When he was on the show in December he lathered up Howard real good.George is a great person.He knows that the show is largely responsible for his profrssional re-birth.
