I miss Artie on MadTV... I wish he could have staid clean and done a few more seasons of that show. Will Sasso was okay, but he was no Artie.

Will Sasso was as good if not better than Artie. Very talented guy.

I will agree that Sasso is a better impressionist, but the thing that makes an Artie impression so funny is that he doesn't give a shit if it's good or not and does zero preparation.

Also, Harry Shearer is going to be on the show in New Orleans. Harry is a really funny guy, and does his own radio show that's pretty good if you're interested in politics called Le Show (it's on public radio, a lot of NPR stations carry it). I love the fact that he isn't afraid to shit all over Lorne Michaels and Sam Simon.

man....looks tasty as fuck....they really should utilize that kitchen more and probably nightly....its 2 bad the twins are so fucking useless but it could be a running bit?
have them cook nightly....at least with experience they might get better at something...i dunno.....every person should master at least 7 meals,one for every night of the week and then put that shit on a rotation while learnin new shit.

If the Twins haven't learned how to properly screen calls in months I have very little hope of them mastering one recipe. That Chef sounded mobbed up like at some point somebody tread to strangle him to death. I thought that itallians spoke like that in 50's gangster movies'

I wonder if that Chef guy was sick and thats why his voice was like that, I wouldnt want to eat food that a sick person had their hands all up in. If it wasnt just a hoarse voice and he was sick I bet every single person in there that ate is gonna get sick as well. Artie sounded really raspy tonight too, like to the point were it was distracting, hopefully he just had a cold and wasnt high on opiates.

Will Sasso is a talented guy. However he is a man from Canada doing an impression of a Guido Actor from Jersey portraying a Nefarious Neurotic Tragic Guido from Jersey. Artie is a Neurotic Guido from Jersey. I think he would have been a pretty good Tony Soprano in that sketch. His God Father 2 frank pentangeli rif was genius. Just Sayin.

I dont think artie could do a funnier impression of tony than will does in that sketch, Im a big artie fan but I just dont see him as being a good fit for that impression. There is some random guy on youtube who isn't famous who does Tony soprano as good or better than will sasso its crazy. I dont remember the name of his youtube video otherwise I'd post it, he doesnt look like tony but he has the voice and mannerisms down perfect. If you minimize the screen and just listen it sounds like you are listening to an episode of the sopranos when he talks.

That's good news. Shearer was one of the best guests they've had on the show.

Lately Artie sounds like a cross between the Macho Man Randy Savage and Arnold Horshack Gahead.

The twins are your stereotypical mid-western wasps with no sense of ethnicity or culture. The only "meals" they know how to make are pb&j & "Fluffer-Nutter" (whatever the fuck that is). The look of absolute bewilderment on their faces as the chef tried to teach them about italian hot dogs was priceless. Hell, Marie couldn't even get chocolate milk right...

Yeah during one of the live commercial look-ins the Chef mentioned he was just getting over a bad cold. I have watched every single DirectTV show since the re-launch & I can honestly say I haven't seen any physical signs of Artie being under the influence of opiates...​yet.
