I mostly get my news from The Weekly Standard and the The National Review, Fox News always came across like pro-wrestling to me. Chris Wallace is an exception, and I like Red Eye, but O'Reilly and a lot of the other anchors are just playing characters. Here's my point: any real conservative will tell you that Mitt Romney and John McCain are not and never were real conservatives. They were men who wanted to be president because they thought they deserved it due to their military career or financial standing. Because most reasonable candidates know they can't compete, the only candidates who rise up to challenge them are kooks. It makes the party look phony or full of wackjobs. It's really been 16 years since we had a true conservative candidate, in Bob Dole (I would call W. more of a populist than anything), and if Fox News will just get back to serious journalism of the type that Chris Wallace does, maybe we can actually get a decent candidate. The last election should have been a slam dunk, and only an un-intellectual, social climbing idiot like MItt Romney could have blown it.
