I heard an interview with the Block Party promoter (Sequoia) and he made an interesting comment. He said Harrah's didn't want to book the Block Party unless they could get Jim Florentine and Sal & Richard to perform on stage in addition to the regular cast. Sounds like they're not real impressed with Shuli's skills (or lack of them) and wanted to make sure there would be some comedians who were actually funny.

It wouldn't be surprising but Howard already benefits greatly from the Block Party. Plenty of content for the radio show and HTV along with free advertising and publicity. All of it provided while his guys are on their own time and being paid by someone else.

They said AC is totally ghetto, like less than two blocks from the casinos...sounds like a classy place with a capital K.

I spoke with somebody who worked for the casinos or AC ( forget it was about a decade ago) and he said the problem was AC is in the most densely populated state in the Union with Philadelphia 35 minutes away and NYC 2 hours away so the casinos major business are consumers who rarely stay overnight. They park, gamble, maybe eat, maybe see a show and go home. Whereas middle of nowhere Las Vegas is a destination vacation with the average stay is 3 days so Vegas needed to develop its ancillary services and keep itself clean.

AC is a shit hole that one time was a cute town. Gambling was supposed to be a quick fix to resuscitate AC fortunes but the government couldn't get out of the way so areas next to the casinos are populated with government dependents who can't be bought out, priced out or lured into jobs to improve their fortunes. That's were the Bellagio was smart, they built a stand alone complex away from the boardwalk (and not around the corner from the blight) and is the big hit in town.

The thought hadn't crossed my mind seeing as he needs the block party shenanigans for show content as much as that turd of a show needs the hours of air time. Wiggy's building Howard TV episodes around it too.

But Howard does have an over inflated sense of himself and he is taking money for ads with kids chanting about wanting creampies so I wouldn't put anything passed him.
