    Breaking Hard: JJ Abrams will be directing the next Star Wars movie

    After lots of speculation and Abrams himself previously saying he WOULDN'T be doing it, the director of the first two films in the new Star Trek series will be directing Episode 7, from a script written by the guy who wrote Toy Story 3 and Little Miss Sunshine, Michael Arndt (a notorious Star Wars nerd himself -- he even teaches a workshop for other screenwriters on why Episode IV: A New Hope is a perfectly-structured movie).

    I think there's still hope for a great Star Wars movie, and at the very least, the two guys at the helm are talented and major fans of the franchise.

    Never seen a 'Star Wars' movie in a theater, looks like that will continue. Abrams is a solid filmmaker, but his history of hype over substance put me off him a while ago.
