What won't you let your kids do that you got to do as a kid?

I just had to be home by a certain time. We'd hop on our bikes and just ride wherever we wanted to go. Go to the mall, 7/11, a field, bb courts and stay all day. I'm talking like 9yo. I can't imagine letting my kids do that today. It's crazy. My kids miss out on some fun.

I can't recall a time where I didn't know where my kids were at in the last 8 years. Of course my kids won't have their head sliced open cuz a golfer not happy about being yelled at during his swing directed towards them and hit their target. Those were the days!!!

I got no kids, don't want 'em, but yeah, it's fucked up. We have more laws and restrictions than ever before, but society is just way fucked up. I especially agree 100% with OP....man, we used to go Trick or Treating at night, by ourselves, anywhere we wanted to go, and nobody worried about it. And in summer when school was out, we rode our bikes all over town all friggin day, as long as you were home by supper time.

Stay out until I wanted to come home (after midnight in Jr high). Sit and watch TV or play video games all day. Eat shitty fast food. Go out wandering with no real plan of what to do alone.

A kid needs rules huh, I turned out fine while some friends stole their parents car for a joyride, went to juvenile hall, I always knew where to draw the line. I ended up with a college scholarship playing ball.... I was lucky.
Kids are 4 & 1 how much worse is it going to get by the time they want to explore.... scary world.
