Consuming energy drinks and certain medicines at the same time can increase your risk for liver damage due to the drinks' caffeine content. For example, ingesting caffeine with certain nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs such as etodolac or acetaminophen increases your risk for liver damage.
