    New Coen Brothers Trailer

I love the Coen Brothers. I watch every movie they make, but some of them are boring. A Serious Man was boring as fuck. This might be too. Folk music was interesting one time: A Mighty Wind.

Movie is based on the memoir The Mayor of MacDougal Street from this guy:

I'll always give the Coens a chance, but I don't find that music scene compelling.

A Serious Man was ponderous. Nonetheless, I will watch everything they put out. I love them, even if it's just on the merits of the Big Lewbowski.

Love their movies... "Raising Arizona," "Fargo," "Big Lebowski," "Miller's Crossing..." All brilliant.

Raising Arizona....remember when Nicolas Cage wasn't a shitty actor? Seems like so long ago. That scene in Fargo where Peter Stormare is chasing that car down the snowy highway? Still scares the shit out of me. They are great filmmakers.

Love the Coen Brothers, also agree that A SERIOUS MAN was boring (so was THE MAN WHO WASN'T THERE), except the kid reminded me of Howard and his youthful adventures. I heard/read the movie is better if you are Jewish and therefore would get all the in-jokes and references that have to do with being Jewish.

The Man Who Wasn't There. That was boring too, you're right. That was the first time I ever saw Scarlett Johannsson, and that was back when Billy Bob Thornton still had a career.

They made three movies I can, and do, watch every time they are on: Big Lewbowski, Fargo, and O Brother. The only other movies I can watch that often are the Godfather (I & II), Goodfellas, and Jaws. I will watch anything they put out, though not all are gems.

I liked O Brother Where Art Thou, but I found George Clooney to be distracting. I thought he was miscast. He kind of ruined that movie for me, although I could not get that song out of my head. The Soggy Bottom Boys.....

I've loved most of the Coen brothers movies, except the George Clooney ones, only because I can't stand George Clooney and avoid all of his movies.
But, this one needs George Clooney so that I can avoid this stinker, too.

Me and Kamie agree that George Clooney sucks

That's funny, its pretty much the only time I liked Clooney in a movie. Probably because he played a pompous ass and the role suited him.

I don't hate Clooney. Yea, he's a pompous ass but he actually has grown into a pretty decent actor. He was very good in The Descendants. Unlike Brad Pitt, I don't watch a movie with Clooney and think "Oh, there's the pretty boy who cheated on Jennifer Aniston with Angelina Jo-lay, and now has 54 kids". Of course, he is going out with a WWE Wrestler, but it doesn't distract me when I watch him onscreen.

yeah, Clooney ruined what could have been a classic. he's unable to disappear in a character.

Film makers are always trying to change the type movies they make to seem more talented and "grow". Usually winds up shittier than the old stuff. Tarantino and Guy Ritchie come to mind. They should all stick to dark comic caper films.

Agree, Clooney's best role and the only one I really liked him in better than any no-name actor.
