A couple of questions about the other comedians that come on the show

1..have none of them acknowledged that Nick is gone, and isnt this a little weird? I'm sorry if I missed it, but I haven't heard one of them bring it up, although I admit I tend to fast forward when they get a little too far into their inside stories about some green room at a Yuck Yuck's somewhere in the Midwest...is there a howard stern like rule, where you cant mention that robin isnt in the room?

2..assuming the split wasnt totally amicable, and how close all of these people are, do you think comedians that come on the show now are essentially being forced to choose artie over nick, like its a divorce type thing?

hell, unless Dipaollo interjected himself, none of them mentioned him anyway. Artie says he hangs out at the comedy cellar, ND always refused whenever Artie said to come down do a set and hang out. Artie knows these guys or of these guys so I don't think it's really that odd. What are they going to say, I really miss Dipaollo not letting me sit at the table or giving me dirty looks when Artie tried to talk to me?

If I'm not mistaken I think Ive heard at least one guest make a comment about how its to bad nick was gone but I cant remember if it was a comedian. I could be wrong though but I swore I heard it and then artie had to gloss over it.

I'm sure Artie or Dan lets them know beforehand what happened and tells them not to bring it up. They obviously did that with Brian Jones. Speaking of brian jones I know I saw one poster in a different thread comment on not liking him but what is the consensus with you guys? I for one absolutely hate the guy, I never thought he was anything other than a drag on the show, I can see how some people might enjoy his antics but to me he's the typical loud mouth black who is an attention whore, he might as well be screaming "look at me look at me, please pay attention to only me" it really drains me watching him and sometimes I have to change the channel when he's on. I dont think Artie is all to fond of him anymore either. I will give him one tiny bit of credit about making nick all butthurt over that stupid cardboard cutout but other than that Id love for them to never have him on again.

i think it was funny the first couple of times, and then you are absolutely right, it just turned into a repetitive bit with him constantly shouting and trying to one up everyone else

i do agree with Brew though, it would get old having people bring it up, but it might have been funny listening to Brian talk about him..

Yeah, there's got to be. Attell was just on, and I was waiting for the Nick mention and there wasn't one. I was a bit surprised but it wasn't really awkward..............................because it's Artie and it seems like all the comedians are more "down" with Artie anyway.

And where would someone even be able to "choose" Nick? He ain't got a show and he ain't on the road with other comics.

Unless there are any stand-ups out there with half-built Ecuadorian wall-fetishes, I think it's safe to say Artie got all the comedians in the divorce.

I may have been that poster, someone suggested Jones as a good candidate for Artie's co-host. If that happened I think I'd stop listening. Some jackass screaming for three fucking hours aint good radio. I get my daily fill of yard apes screaming for no fucking reason just by living in north philly, I don't need more of it in my leisure.

Brian Jones is a good Gimmick Guest.With the gimmick booking a guest that would piss of rick the most. What ever he is he already has his own National Syndicated Show that goes on befor Artie's so any conjecture about him as a co-host was just that conjecture.

The show seems to be getting better by the day, aside from the music which kills the mood. But that goes without saying.

One thing that I'll have to get used to is Artie's fake ass kissing of every guest. Now that he's the host he can't get away with saying he doesn't give a shit about the music or the other shitty guests. Kevin Connolly is the most famous guest they've had on the show? What a dumb thing to say.

I agree, Brian Jones is the worst guest on the show. I think he's drunk by 10p, and I can't stand him.

I also think that the guests the first 2 weeks have dropped off big time, who are these comics?!? Did the real NY stand up's side with Nick? Maybe the real story is being talked about amongst the comics and they are staying away. I have never heard of any of these guys that came in the last 2 weeks.

Yea, in 15 months Artie got Rock to call in and talked to Artie the whole time. But, the comics the first two weeks have mostly been the ones that have came on the show before. Quinn hasn't been on in months, right around the time he said something stupid on twitter. It's just a dumb criticism to say the comics are boycotting the show - matarese, and gay (who both look exactly the same and both have Parkinsons apparently) have both been on the show, artie's friend showed up a couple times and rick wouldn't let him get on the show, Levy's been on a couple of times. It's the same fuckin guys, they just now get to actually talk.

P.s. now that rick's gone Kamal needs to be allowed back on the show

If comics are boycotting the show over what happened to Nick-Nick should be telling them not to do that because it would be blowing a chance to get on TV etc. For a comic making TV appearances like that are always a good thing and can help their career if the right person is watching at home. And if Nick asked his comic buddies to boycott the show, well shame on him for the same reason I just said.

You're right I remember seeing that too. I can't remember what night it was, or what comedian it even was, but I want to say it was said during one of the "Live Look Ins". Artie kinda brushed it off when the comic asked what happened. And I want to say it wasn't even asking what happened as much as it was the comic saying something like-'Wow lot of changes going on around here, you alright?' Etc.....
