New Trier township is about as far away as you can get from gun violence in the city of chicago. Still, I would think that the argument made by the vet that the threat of tyranny is as great today as it was at the turn of last century would resonate.

The problem with vets is that they think service equates to well formed opinion on everything...same as cops.

I'm glad I decided to watch that, even though I'm already Pro-Second Amendment. This is a minor irk, but yet again I see Nazis being invoked incorrectly, in fact 180º incorrectly, which is ironic. I usually like ironic, but sometimes it pisses me off. One of the first things Hitler did when he came into power was (drum roll).....GUN REGISTRATION!!!!!!!!
Of course, I'm sure that was just a pure coincidence when certain persons guns were confiscated a few years later.....and then certain persons who had no guns were sent to death camps a short time after that....

I think it's funny that people think that the threat of tyranny is as great today as it was at the turn of the last century (coming out of a revolutionary war) all because the president is listening to the cries of the public for tighter gun control.

If guns are so easy to get illegally as the NRA and some gun owners claim then there won't be a problem getting guns when the government turns tyrannical.
