    Bacon's gory new serial-killer drama "The Following" slashed its way to 10.4 million total viewers in its Monday premiere, according to Nielsen.

    Apparently, Howard can boost anyone's ratings once they come to his show... but he can't boost his own ratings even after hyping it up for months and months and months.

    It's terrible. Just a terrible cliche ridden mess of bad acting and worse writing. There are some good actors involved in it and they're terrible in it because I think they know they're making an awful horribly written show that won't last more than a season.

    But then again....."Revolution" is a "hit" and one of the dumbest and biggest pieces of shit I've ever seen so maybe the Following will find the same audience of simpletons that Revolution did.....

    I DVRd The Following but have yet to watch it. However, my expectations are low since it is on network TV. The last show I watched on network tv was Fringe, and I quit after season 2. I couldn't take it. I'll give The Following a try since I (1) like Kevin Bacon. He's a good actor and (2) I feel bad for him that Madoff stole his money. He needs the cash.

    James Purefoy is the serial killer. He played Marc Antony on the HBO show Rome that I loved and that HBO cancelled after 2 seasons because the production costs were too high. Assholes. That was a great show.

    The downside is that Fox is very quick to cancel shows that underperform, so you run the risk of getting invested in a show that will never finish.

    it is ridiculous how cliche that show is.....I love shit like the genre they are attempting to do and I honestly don't care to even give it a another chance

    a show like this needs to be on a premium channel
