    Plot Flaw in "Django Unchained"

The movie takes place in 1858 however as you can clearly see from the clip below, the song "I got a name" from Jim Croce is featured very prominently however the song did not come out until 1973

    Very upsetting.

If Tarantino would have cut 30-45 minutes out of the movie it would have been a 4 star flick. Other than Christoph Woltz, it is not worthy of any other Oscar consideration though.

    My ranking of Tarantino(directed) Films:
    1. Pulp Fiction
    2. Jackie Brown
    3. Resevoir Dogs
    4. Kill Bill Vol.1
    5. Kill Bill Vol.2
    6. (tie) Inglorious Basterds/Django Unchained

There was no classical music back in the caveman times either, you better write a letter of complaint to the estate of Stanley Kubrick.

Are we sure Jim Croce is not a time traveler? Hmmmmm?

The events of Django Unchained begin in 1858. Dr. King Schultz says he quit dentistry 5 years ago to become a bounty hunter, but it isn’t mentioned why. The obvious answer, however, is that his wife, Paula, left him, and he was so devastated that he took up a profession he would never think about otherwise, the profession that would ultimately lead to his death in 1859. His former wife slowly realizes her mistake in leaving Dr. King, and after 6 years apart, seeks him out, only to find he’s been killed at the hands of Calvin Candie. Devastated, faulting herself, she never remarries, keeping her ex-husbands name, and finally dies, alone, in 1893, when she is buried in the Lonely Grave of Paula Schultz,

the same grave Beatrix Kiddo(kill bill) will escape from more than 100 years later.

People that don't like Jackie Brown are like people that didn't like the ending to the Sopranos.
