He just tells the caller that Robin won a lottery in the office and is now able to work from home, or something along those lines. My guess is that we will never know unless (1) Robin tells us herself (2) Robin has to leave the show permanently and Howard has no choice but to tell us why (3) someone affiliated with the show lets its slip.
