If she starts traveling to make book tour appearances (she has one scheduled in Baltimore for April 2nd) it will be hard to explain why she can't come in to the studio.

If she took a year's sabbatical from the studio back in May there wouldn't be an issue with her doing a book tour. She's a contractor anyways so It's up to Howard to decide when Robin is no longer fulfilling her role on the show.

The "contract" is somewhat reminiscent of the Jackie contract Dispute.

Jackie wanted a Piece of Each Market and wanted to be compensated for "TV" appearance.

If I remember correctly, He (his image) was absent from some of the TV shows during the "negotiations/disputes".

Robin absence from Sirius Building (and HTV) no doubt has something to do with it... She wokee up one day and realized she wasn't getting her cut of the $$ a la Jackie Style.

very few things have you laid up this long. most surgeries have you up and active quickly now. even major abdominal surgery is at most 3 weeks before you can return to work (usually a lot less). bypass surgery and colon surgery are about the only one that have you out of work for months.

People I know...
Coronary ByPass surgery has one UP and discharged from Hospital usually within 5+/- Days.
Most people can return to work(light desk job) in about 1 month.

Interesting point....even though Robin seems to be one of the few people in the Howard Universe who was well compensated. How the fuck she was able to afford a shore house and a boat and Fred seemingly can't is lost on me.

Maybe Howard spreading his financial pain around with this new contract is not working like he intended?
