Sorry if this was discussed before: Jason makes enough for his wife to not work

I heard this on the Wrap Up Show replay yesterday evening.

    How much does he make?

$125K?? For doing fucking what? Taking pictures and being an annoying dick? Holy shit, talk about being overpaid. And BTW, $125K is only enough to support a family in the NY area if you have no children and aren't paying a mortgage. Kids are very expensive and decent houses in the tri-state area are expensive. Without kids, Jason has no deductions and probably comes home with $65K after state, federal and local taxes, and contributions to Social Security and a 401K.

He has no kids and is a renter. Obviously I have no real knowledge of what Jason makes, but based on the fact that his wife doesn't work and he can spend $500 a month on weed, it is the only logical conclusion.

Also, most people that are surprised about 125k salaries in NYC most likely don't live anywhere near NYC. It is a whole other world. 125k in NYC = 65k elsewhere.

she's going to be in for a big surprise, when jason is out of work once Stern is done.
My comments are based on my opinion only.

guess that's how he is able to blow $6k a year on pot. So is the illusion that the back office makes peanuts blown now?

That's because NY and NJ are two of the most heavily taxed states in the US. Commuting costs are also through the roof.

Well, it is peanuts. You have to adjust for cost of living. $125k just "sounds" like a lot. Like millions of pesos sounds like a lot.

Some people have other sources of income besides their salaries. Just sayin' ... for all we know his grandma died and left him some money and it's enough for them to live on? Or his wife earned a boatload of money up until when she quit her job. Or he bought up a lot Sirius stock and sold it when it was ridiculously high. Or when he was ...

Supposedly Jason is well-liked by Sirius and is being groomed for corporate position once Howard retires. Howard once discussed this on the air while criticizing Jason for being so fat.

If he makes that and lives in Jersey, then yeah, he makes a great living. He makes more than my wife and I combine if that's the case. And he does a lot of work on those channels. He may not be liked, but he's a hard worker.

Just saying it's not like he's living in Manhattan. I have relatives living in Jersey and know that there's a world of difference in cost of living between the two. Plus, I like read and stuff. LoL. And what does having kids have to do with anything? Jason doesn't have kids.

Sorry, I wasn't trying to do a "what do you do for a living". I was actually curious if you lived in jersey with no kids and how comfortable you were living on 125k.

His Sirius salary is prob around 100 dimes, plus he gets $200+ a week for GeekTime....

They're living like wide-eyed recent college grads, paycheck to paycheck- delusional about the storm that'll hit if he can't get work at Sirius as of 2016.
