I vacationed in Ireland last year and in one of the hotels slept in one of the most luxurious beds ever! I think I'm finally going to splurge and get myself a similar set-up. I'm turning 40 in a few weeks so that's my birthday present for myself. The new set-up is going to be so SWEET!!! New bed frame, mattress, EVERYTHING!

From the article:

1. Choosing a firm mattress
2. Adding a felt mattress protector
3. Choose a box-style featherbed, preferably a baffle box construction
4. Add a felt sheet protector
5. Add a fitted sheet
**(you'll be sleeping on top of components 1 through 5)
6. Add a flat sheet
7. Finish with a comforter with duvet cover that matches your sheets
8. Add a second flat sheet or throw to add the final touch
**(fold over the top, to extend below the pillows; this will finish and complete the bed setup)

In Lexington, not really....its not Brooklyn Heights, but stuff is expensive. You can't eat at Outback Steakhouse for $35 including tip.

I live alone and I've been happy with a full-size bed. My boyfriend has a Queen. He used to sleep over but like in that Seinfeld episode, we find we get better sleep if we sleep in our own beds in our own apartments. So I'll probably get another full-size bed.

The bed frame I have now is a cheap (but sturdy) metal futon frame. The mattress is firm but is losing it. It's 8 or 9 years old. So I will be getting a new bed frame and mattress as well as the new bedding!!

For the bedding I'm going to go down comforter, down mattress pad (like the article mentioned). High down count. High thread count (at least 500 threads per inch). Italian or Egyptian cotton.

Yes, I'll definitely send along pictures of the set once it's home and put together.
