Donnie "The Wheeze" Mirsaje is an old high shool buddy and Adam's "producer" before August. Adam's given a lot of his old pals jobs with his companies.

You know, because he's such a selfish, greedy asshole, I guess...

Donnie is a spacey pothead who couldn't keep gigs, guests and money in order. Carolla routinely complained about this on his show.

Eventually, Mike August was brought in to take over the Wheeze's job, with the Wheeze having the option to remain on as a paid employee and retain his title in name only.

The Wheeze refused, wanting to keep his gig fucking up Carolla's gigs.
