someone's got to sit censorship-Howard down and point out all the irony to him, as well as the fact that these calls are only so funny because things have become so censored. if he could just roll with it, and allow other shows to roll with it, these calls would lose all.....................well, most of their power. the stick up his, and Francesa's, and Somers' asses are a phony phone caller's best friend.

better yet, someone should not sit Howard down and tell him these things.

Thx IJ, it's INDEED disturbing how uptight and censored this debacle of a "vacatolution" has a become now. What I was doing was pretty innocuous in the big scheme of things and how many people besides us REALLY get that reference? How I picture the scene back at the New York studio: The Sirius engineer/censor is bored out of his mind with the show, lounging back and stuffing a handful of cheese puffs in his mouth. Arm's first "Zoo Za Zoo" comes through his headphones. He shoots forward in his chair, knocking his Diet Pepsi over. He reaches out to try and catch the pop bottle and his hand hits a toggle that locks him out of the phone switchboard. A little trickle of fear-piss dribbles out while he flails around, reconnecting to the phone system and trying to type "DUMP! DUMP!!!" with his left hand into his IM chat window. Arm finishes the song, and the engineer finally hits the master switch to shut down all phone lines. Meanwhile Abe and company are puzzling over the dead phone lines and the random "NO ZOO ZA ZOO" IMs coming from New York.

Three months later, the engineer, Abe, and everyone else on that show are clandestinely destroyed.

Hahhahahhahaahhaah thanks Roberticus, that's really really a very vivid and feasible scenario you paint. I bet that's 90% of exactly what went down in NYC, only I see sunflower seeds instead of cheese doodles, that's the newish hipster snack now.

I know I'm in the minority here....but I don't think Abe Kanan is SOOO terrible. It falls under the category of background noise for me. If I'm out running errands, like I was last night...and will be in and out of the car a bunch...I'll leave it on. I don't think I would cue it up for a 2 hour road trip...but its not THAT bad. Again, just my opinion.

But back to the point. Your call was incredible. I was laughing my ass off, and my girlfriend had no idea why. She thought I was laughing hysterically about Different Strokes. I tried to explain, but I guess you have to be "in the know".

Thanks Rilagent, when I listened back to it it was fucking creepy how the code-wig, deathstar force-field went up with that eerie silence at the end. I fgelt sorry for Abe actually hje just plowed through doing his job and that stupid Wigtmatum shut him down for no reason.
