
I like Louie, have for a long time, and I did actually see him in Columbus, OH back in the 90's. My point is that he just does stand up for the money these days, he is all about that TV show (and busts his ass to make it good). I don't think Louie's ambition was ever to be the best comic going who never sold out and stuck to his guns to the bitter end like Bill Hicks, he always wanted to make it in TV and movies, and he has. I'm glad for him, but I'm not going to pretend he does the same level of stand up he used to, or that the HBO special he did with Gervais, Rock and Seinfeld wasn't the biggest televised circlejerk I've ever seen.
