No it's not. Have you listened to yesterday's BOR? Jason said that tension is in the office because of the direction where the show is going. He said that Howard seems to have a plan.

I wonder if by "direction" he means what changes are going to go down because of Malone, or he is referring to the overall drop in quality and nuetering of the show that has gone on the past few years and accelerated after agt

That is a very telling statement. This problem should rest upon the shoulders of Booey, Sabean and Goodstein and the staff should not even be aware it exists. The Howard TV guys seem locked on so Goodstein earns his pay as far as I'm concerned but Booey and Sabean suck.

The news dept is totally unnecessary, howardtv shouldn't be supported by anyone....subscribers or it's very existence is an embarrassment. There are many ways costs can be cut...Howard just doesn't want to do them.

Howard's got to be nervous about his protector Mel Karmazin leaving and someone he doesn't know coming in. If Malone is asked about Howard he'll probably say the contract was a big mistake and SiriusXM didn't get their money's worth. Howard wants to be able to point to all these meetings and changes as proof he's earning his money but everyone knows he's been lazy, disinterested, and neglectful for years

I'm listening to the play back from 1/16 when Howard say's,"Remind me and we'll bring this up at the WRITERS MEETING ON FRIDAY." Ralph's full of shit this was a planned meeting not some big emergency meeting. Howard was coming in anyways so I'd say he decided to include the entire staff like back in the old days when they held creative meetings that even the interns were allowed to pitch idea's at.

That's a damn lie. When was the last time anyone actually wrote anything for the show? Howard and Fred haven't done a bit in a decade. Benji is too busy promoting his talentless girlfriend to bother to write anything. Sal and Richard just do different variations of their prank calls to Tradio.

If it was a writing meeting, it might have been the shortest meeting in recorded history.

The Wig is pressuring them to figure out how he can work even less but still cram as much AGT talk,commercials and celebrity ass kissing into the show as they are now.

Stuff like that has to bother Howard, since he's one of the most secretive, deceptive, and paranoid people around and it's looking like all is not well in his little universe.

My guess is that Howard is actually pissed that Robin isn't in the studio. Howard definitely notices the difference since there is an ever so slight lag on Robin's input due to distance and transmission speed. Howard is probably torn between paying out Robin's contract and letting her go and keeping her around out of some fucked up sense of loyalty. And on top of that, Howard probably gets tons of email about Robin not being in the studio and how much she sucks and how much the show sucks since she isn't sitting in the studio. If Howard wanted other things done he would mention them. But the staff being perplexed about what Howard really wants leads me to my conclusions.
