Some of the shit is still the same, back in the 90's on Ivan's "Traveling Stern Message Board" or whatever it was called one of the frequent complaint topics was all the time off. Of course, we've gone from 8 weeks off then to 12 weeks plus Thursday-Friday off now. Howard hadn't entered the world of starfucking, elitist hypocrisy either so there wasn't as much ammunition for the posters.

Howard became everything he hated. Look at developments since then: Made up with Chevy Chase, made up with Rosie, made up with Kathie Lee, says "I piss on my fans", we find out he was the one Billy and Jackie were negotiating against (not Tom and the station), attempts to pay off Mark from MarksFriggin and re-write history. And that's just the tip of the iceberg. It's like when Chief smothers Nickleson at the end of Cuckoo's Nest, this isn't the Howard we knew.
