i'm glad his "empire" collapsed. no one should be allowed (or even want) to build a 90,000 (or even 16,000) sq ft house. it's vulgar.

It's really well done and has no voiceover, which is unheard of in a documentary. It's like a tasteful version of reality TV.

I watched this documentary about a month ago... a good friend of mine down here in S. FL knows this family, from when she lived in the Orlando area. Their sons went to the same school, so she got to know Jackie Seigal. She's the one who told me to watch it and I'm so glad I did.

It's a really interesting look at how money really changes people - and as over the top as this woman is, you get the feeling she's still got a good heart inside, which can't be said for OTHER trophy wives we know about....

If it's in your On Demand or on Netflix, I'd recommend it... I ended up feeling kind of bad for them at the end - and am surprised to hear his biz is on the uptick again... I didn't think they'd recover from the crash.

It's a good movie, to say the least.

I expected to hate these people before I even watched the movie. I didn't hate them. They were humble people, that were as many were, a victim of the financial crisis. Even though they had more money than they knew what to do with. (they both did rise from humble beginnings)


It's the old moral to the story. Don't count your chickens before they are hatched.


Also if it's true as David Siegel says, that he single-handedly got President Bush elected. I'm shocked Bush Jr. didn't find a way to help his buddy out of this jam.
