A lot of people say that "everything" is a bit on the show. So was Sal's marriage problems just a bit as well, with the emotional friend and all of that? Was any of it real? Would love to hear your opinions.

wouldnt doubt it
Shes a cunt. So its real.
"Being miserable and treating people like dirt, is every New Yorkers god given right." Ghostbusters 2
they may have played it up for the radio, but i wouldn't be surprised if they both cheat on each other. allegedly.
My comments are based on my opinion only.
it's real to me damnit.
☃ "There are entire websites dedicated to how ugly my wife is."
Seems like she has gotten everything she ever wanted and Sal is happy as a pig in shit and NOT working weekends anymore. A bit is indeed what it was for air kill. It makes me wonder what indeed happened to make Sal and Richard drop weekend gigs?

ya accept all of Sal's money problems have disappeared. He has had a lot of dental work done and Christine is happy with her vehicle and pocketbooks all of a sudden. The killers of comedy are gone BUT Ronnie Mund's block party is all the rage. Sal and Richard both turned down the block party because they couldn't afford them?
Tradio calls are paying huge bucks these days? As that's all they are doing on the show aside from a quick robin/show song

After the Sal fake crying bit, I will never believe anything is real on the show.
It totally ruined the show for me.
That was terrible. Sal's entire future was hanging in the balance, and he knew that Howard was going to make an announcement (the staff already knew that Howard was renewing for weeks, I'm sure) and he shows up to work hours late and doesn't bother to listen to the show on his way to work....another poorly crafted bit that fans are expected to take believe, like the Bobo/Sal bit at the first of the year for example.

The only reason why I think it could be real is because Sal is a Howard sycophant. Although I think much of the drama surrounding Howard, Robin, Fred, and Gary is made up; Howard surrounds himself with a bunch of fans as employees and most of them would gladly exploit their lives to please Howard.
I remember someone on SFN posting pics and a story of running into Sal and Christine at a bar on Long Island while this was going on and they were cuddling, drinking, and having a great time.

I'm convinced that it was real. (Mostly)
Things turned a little WWF-ish during the Ablow session... but - when Sal snapped on that caller for claiming he cheated on his wife, that was real. That was clear tension from a man who's marriage was teetering on the brink.

I guess that is real. I understand Sal 100%.
Actually... I was going to start a tread about a "friend" of mine that wants a divorce without paying 50%. How about take the wife out on a drive. Loosen her seatbelt and drive into a tree? Is that a perfect crime? My "friend" wants to know.
Always remember. Women are the root to all evil!
If they sucked our cocks 24/7 there would be no crime/war = evidence.
