New Setup & Punchline Bit on HSS

I've always been able to roll with the Stern show's changes over the years (love the Artie years the most, but still enjoy the current run). But this new "bit" Howard does where he sets up a series of softballs and delivers incredibly obvious punchlines may be my least favorite thing ever on the show.

Anyone else notice this? Is it a Benjy bit?

Howard, Robin and Fred chuckling after each line is just awful. Total douche chills.

Its worse then the monologues at the late night show.

Another problem is Robin that is not clued in the bit. The jokes are so obvious that she often spoils them.

Howard is such a retard. He thinks that the monologue is something the listeners wants to hear only because Fred laughs as a penguin to the jokes.
Its so easy. Just take unscreened phone calls.
The best moments the last years are callers that confronts Howard.

(And less guest + more real wack packers like Beatlejuice and Iron Sheik.)

This does make Howard look even more like a baffoon. Goes back to the old emperor and his new clothes argument. Everyone around him is puffing him up so much when he stepped out of the confines of his minions and on the AGT stage he found out how much he was kidding himself.

Medicated Robin sabotaging the hacky jokes is amazing!

BTW Stern saves shitty pre-written jokes way past their expiration date. So not only are they horrible they are not even topical anymore...

Am I being asked if I am a staff member? No. Just a fan. I've interviewed members of the show over the years as well, but that's my only other connection to the show.

I wish Fred would play that bass player on David Letterman show sound effect "vrrrROOOM" after every joke. Or maybe play the Tonight Show theme after a series of Howard's one-liners.

Any example of this you can post? I haven't heard any post-2010 broadcasts.

Yes, I quit about a year ago and would like to hear a clip of his heightened shittiness.
