Does anyone else thinks the show is alot better?

Is it just me or show is alot better now? I love the SI guy, Chris Manix, as a side kick. They flow together very well and somewhat funny.


Let's see if this holds: Maybe it's a placebo effect for not having the live show for awhile now.

I don't see much of a difference between the two, both mostly stay out of the way and interview the sports guys inbetween artie talking about blow and hookers. I certainly don't miss that other guy that used to be on the show, much like the rest of america, I've forgotten his name

Small sample size but the mood definitely seems better in the room. Dan seems to be having a much better time from what I've seen.

Huge get with the deadspin guy. I know it was a new story but I wish Artie had been better prepared for that interview. Mannix carried the load there. Would have really loved to know more from deadspin guy (cant remember his name) but I understand him not sayiing what he knows/thinks is going on.

I like the show much better now too. I hope they keep rotating the co-hosts to keep it interesting.
It'd be good maybe if they got the ex-Playboy centrefold (Alison Waite?) on again.

I think these three shows have been better than the last 2-3 months of N&A, however it is not as good as the Bill Kurtis bumper era N&A shows in my opinion.

If he was so jealous and passive aggressive then give me a few examples, I'm fucking dying to hear them. I've been listening since day one and barely detected any of that shit. Nick's miserable 24/7 so he was probably coming off as jealous or passive aggressive in the eyes of you Artie worshippers or was probably sick of constantly keeping the show on track and doing all the prep.

i like it better but im not getting my expectations too high. artie has def been in control but its only been 3 days. who knows how the stress will get to him and what kind of meltdown he will eventually have

I miss the Bill Kurtis bumpers too. Actually once the show became more corporate I feel a lot of the fun was pushed aside. Before that there were more stories, more jokes, and once they got the new studio it became more strict and forced and seemed to form a wedge. Having a seasoned straight man that also has a sense of humor like the guys they've had on recently will really help Artie and keep things pretty fresh. And I second having Alison Waite back on again periodically.

I'm not sure yet if it's better, but it doesn't seem to be missing all that much. I'm really surprised at how easily the show has moved on from Nick in the past few days. Artie really seems to have gotten comfortable in his role rather quickly.
