i have had people so heavy that the chair won't move once they are in it, so i have to lean it back before they get in. And of course, the arms can't go down on he chair.

I looks at it this way, they know they're fat. i'm not burning the motor on a chair for them. sorry.

and in my experience, they are the nicest patients, too. One guy joined weight watchers, lost 90 pounds and came back to say hi to me. he said fixing his teeth was the first step for him. and he decided to further his self-improvement.

We had a guy come into St Lukes hospital in the back of the ambulance. Not on a gurney, literally in the back of the ambulance, on the floor. He barely fit and that was with the stretchers removed. We had to chain 2 gurneys together to support him from the ambulance into the ER. He weighed in at over 800 pounds when they finally found a scale big enough to hoist and weigh him.
