That would be the best news about radio ever. Please let it be true. Art could create a real revolution. It would be interesting to see which guests go back to Art or stay loyal to C2C.


I finally gave up on Noory after the pizza roll incident. I can't believe that someone is stupid enough to get second degree burns inside their mouth and need two days off from work because of a fucking pizza roll that he says was "cool to the touch." Dumbass. I don't like the Christian slant that the show is taking either.

Did some digging on the CoastGab board. This seems to be where this information originated.

Earlier this week Art posted on his Facebook page:

This, of course, cause CoastGab to erupt with speculation of whether or not this means Art is returning to radio. After sever pages of screaming and hollering, the Man himself posted this:

I do not wish to string anybody along, stay tuned means just that. Until I was free in terms of non compete there was no
real way I could be on the air anywhere. Premiere has offered me a slot anytime I wish.....I do not wish.

Now that I can indeed return if I wish there is the matter of a venue, I have some offers I am thinking about but have not
decided on anything as of yet. There was a time that I did not want to compete with Coast because I had no wish to destroy
what I built, Premiere has almost managed to change my mind about that.

Doing a show means devoting your life to it, not just "phoning it in", examples of that can be heard nightly. So a decision to
proceed will have to be done right or not at all. This means the creative freedom is first along with the venue.

While doing Coast at one point, instead of taking more money I opted for a restriction on the number of commercial minutes,
a dumb move because as soon as I was gone they came back PLUS. I do what I do because I love it, not for the money.

So, I just now have come to the point that I CAN do something, if I will or not depends on the above. I hope this helps some
of you understand the process. I would rather do nothing than something half-assed.

When I used to live in Las Vegas I went out to Pahrump to see Art Bell's compound. I knew someone who lived out there. He tried to to tell me where it was but I could never find it. He had an array of Ham Radio antennas and satellite dishes surrounding the his trailers so I thought it would be easy to find. He had the greatest job in the world. He was basically getting paid $500,000 a year to sit at home and go on the radio a few hours a night. He never had to go to studio. When he initalially worked for KDWN in Las Vegas and was becoming syndicated all the other talk show hosts had to come into work at the studios in downtown Las Vegas at the Union Plaza casino. Not Art, he got to stay at home where the station installed a board.
