Oh. My. God.
So it was all over the news that this dude's girlfriend and grandma died on the same day, and yet he decided to play.
This story is a must-read.

Damn. I fell for the dead cute girlfriend hoax also.
I just got through reading the entire thing and this fuckers NFL career is dead before it even started. I mean who is that stupid to pull something like that off in this day and age.
What a fuckin jerk off, fraud and asshole.

The lesson to learn from this is that we should never ever believe what the media tells us. Just ask Stern![]()
On the next episode of MTV's Catfish.... Manti Te'o
Plot
A "catfish" is a person who creates fake profiles online and pretends to be someone they are not by using someone else's pictures and information. These "catfish" use social media sites like Facebook and Twitter, usually with the intention of getting other people or a person to fall in love with them. MTV and the producers of the 2010 documentary film Catfish send Nev Schulman and his friend and filmmaker Max Joseph to help couples who have never met in real life. They want to know if the person they have had a relationship with and fallen in love with is the real deal or if they are a "catfish." Some couples have been together for a few months, others have been together for years. Nev, who has fallen victim to a "catfish," claims that he has received requests from people asking him for his help in determining whether or not their online-only significant other is lying or telling the truth about their identity. Each episode is a different couple with a different story and Nev flies out to wherever they live and tries to help them by doing background checks and research to uncover the truth. He contacts the other person to get a meeting set up so they both can meet for the first time and documents the outcome.[3][4] Schulman says it's not all about pulling the rug out from under people.[2]

Definitely Howard related because Stern also has had a bunch of imaginary girlfriends.

What a tool - especially bad since ESPN and the media have tried to make him out to be an upstanding guy. Sounds like he took a page from Howard's alleged post-divorce "tear" although even Stern didn't take it to this level. There should be some interesting combine interview questions for Manti next month.
Ray Lewis should explain to him that the NFL has zero tolerance for people of questionable character.
And what about his scum bag family? They all went along with it too!
Listen carefully... Hear that sound? Its Manti Te'o's draft stock coming crashing down.
