    Son of bitch, they guy at jiffy lube tells me my car only takes synthetic oil and is charging me $90 for an oil change, anyone ever heard of this

    Your car will take anything. Synthetic may be recommended but if you are using Jiffy Lube you probably don't give a shit about your car anyway.

    Too many people I know have had issues......cross threaded filters that blow off, stripped drain plugs from gorilla tightening, upcharging for flushes and other phantom fixes. I'm sure there are some with well trained, conscientious employees that do a fine job but I don't trust taking my car to those places. The risk is the same, IMO, at lots of dealers/shops so just find a place highly recommended and stick with 'em.

    I'm an asshole that still does most everything myself because that way I know it's done right.
