    .
I don't think it's the amount of days Gary works either and I don't think it's the money either. I think it's that Gary just isn't doing his job as Executive Producer anymore. I don't know how Booey let Will and Sal let those 2 Bobo bits get on the air. It wasn't a finished product. There was no quality testing. Gary just let them go into the lions den. Howard checked out years ago and now Booey has. I might resent him to if he were my boss.

What I find funny is that in the days of old, Howard would relentlessly attack Gary, stating that he would never survive without his cushy job. Howard was wrong then, but right now. If Gary got fired in the late 80s~90s, he would still be young enough to get another position if he were kicked off the show.

Nowadays, he is just spoiled. If Gary needed another job, he's gonna have some major trouble. Booking Brooke Hogan and Joan Rivers isnt exactly talent.

The problem is that Gary has been working for the same man in the yellow hat for almost 30 years. Perhaps he feels that since bawf doesnt give a fuck, he shouldnt give a fuck either. In other words, he has this sense of entitlement as in, "Hey, if Bawf doesnt liek et, he will just yull at meh and all will be fugotten. Ah can put up wif teeth jokes for ah while."

Bottom line is, if your boss is doing far less work than you and is getting paid far more than you, that definitely fucks with your head after a while. Not immediately, but it festers. Case in point: Howard and Jackie.

I dont know just how old Jason is, but I would get the fuck out of that sinking ship while he still can. As hard as it will be for gary to get another job, Jason will have it ten times worse. Theres a chance that Booey can get lucky due to "fame" (and I say that loosely).

I used to like Baba Booey alot. Such a smug entitled monkey.

Did anyone listen to yesterday's Back Office Radio? I heard some of it where Jason and Will were talking about the stress and changes going on in the office and how most of it is falling on Gary's shoulders which is why Gary is so touchy lately.
Curious to know if they talked more about what the big changes are.

I'm guessing Malone has layed down the law, and stated that for the amount of $$$ they are paying for Stern's two channels they expect either more bang for their buck or they will be cutting back office staff.

Howard probably pulled his "Gary you're the producer, you figure it out, I just work here" card. Now the monkey after years of napping and sporkle must figure out how to motivate the staff to produce more content, or will have to start layoffs. As much as we like to bash Booey for becoming elitist, pompous, and full of himself in recent years I do belive that he looks out for his staff and will do anything he can to keep them all employed.

Howard refuses to help him out, Robin is home, Fred punches the clock, so this all falls on the monkey.

You know no one on THSS ever imagined that they would actually have to be responsible for the show and the goings on. Howard thought no ratings meant a gravy train with the least amount of work. Now the hammer is dropping and they don't know how to act. No one there has put in a quality days work since the last days of K-ROCK.

Isn't the replay supposed to be on now? I am getting a shitty Howard News report.
Did they ban replays of the show because they goofed on Booey?

gary's upset because he thought he was part of the elite top tier. now that they want him to do some work, he realizes he isn't. howard, fred and robin have all ceased working long ago. gary thought he was a part of the too-important-to-work club.

They even had a game making fun of Gary and his wardrobe. It was called Blazer/No Blazer. I think Jason came up with it. It was pretty hilarious. Jason would mention a guest and those in the studio, Brandano and Will, would guess as to whether HorseTooth wore a blazer or not. The comments were pretty snide. I was laughing and kind of shocked at the openness of the mocking exhibited. A clip of that show would be good but I don't have those skills. It was late in the show.

More than anyone else on the show, Gary is going to suffer when he tries to get another job. All these years of being Joe Cool and turning down guests because they weren't "right" for the show, didn't have anything current going on, weren't big enough, etc. is going to come back and bite him in the ass. Some of these people and their friends are now in positions of power in show business and probably have long memories about who rejected them in the past. I'm sure they'll take great delight in turning down Gary if he applies for a job with them.

    Thats it!
No wonder that he can play Scrabble on his computer. On a 16 hour work week. 42 weeks a year.
I wonder if Gary really waits for people to ask (the guest list certainly suggests that) or they don't want to admit that the vast majority of the people they'd love to have on the show turn them down flat because Howard isn't relevant any more.

This whole thing got me thinking about this:

At first I thought that Howard was being idiotic, looking for a deeper meaning. But the more I think about it, the more I absolutely think that this was an angry move by JD. I don't think it was directed at Gary, though (though I can see that, for the same reasons that Jason is upset at Gary).

I think Howard is right that it's directed at him. Imagine working a lot, and your pampered boss takes his gangly ass to his office right next to you, to get his beauty sleep. He already barely works, and coasts when he does, and here he is sleeping after only four hours of working, while you're there for 8, 9, 10 hours. And then he has the nerve to expect you to tell people not to bother him.

Howard's a retard who can't understand why people resent him, and always chalks it up to simple jealously. Sure, there will probably always be some natural resentment, but if he weren't such a douche, his staff would be a lot more receptive to him. I mean who isn't gonna be rubbed the wrong way when their boss, Howard, proudly proclaims that he tells people that he's working in his office, but is sleeping instead? The guy who's getting paid shit, and providing a ton of the content, while putting in a ton of hours? Yet JD's the wrong one for feeling some resentment?

If you're gonna be a diva, take that shit elsewhere. Go home and take a nap. Don't rub it in the face of the lowly-paid guy sitting right next to you.

That whole workplace environment is toxic, and Howard never takes ownership for his own doing, and doesn't understand why everyone hates him.
