Dollar shave club. Anyone use it?

Just checked the website and it's not a bad deal. 1$, 3$ or 9$ depending on blade style, 3 blades a month shipped to your door. Also has an every other month option. They look to be Dorco brand blades. Just paid 30 bucks for a 6 pack of the Gillette's and looking for a cheaper alternative.

Never used Dorco products, don't anything about their reputation for quality.

Get yourself a DOUBLE-EDGE razor and some old-fashioned shaving soap bar and shave for pennies. Single edge razors last me a week per side and I have a thick beard.

if/when i shave daily i can get 2 weeks per side easily. i think i spend easily ~$0.75 (or less) per blade. the best deal i had was when we went to costa rica, picked up a 10-pack of blades for about $1.00, those were some of the better quality ones i have used!

I use the disposable twin blade without that stupid moisturizer strip.

i've been lucky, it has been pretty easy to use. if i want a super smooth shave i lather up a second time and go against the grain. most of the time it's just a single pass.

i like old-school, vintage, traditional, guy stuff so my wife bought me one to try - love that thing (and the wife too...hey-oooh)
