Just read the contract.
Artie was a contractor to Sirius. Sirius "pocketed" the money. (the real story is that Howard did not want a replacement)
Ferral and Bubba was also payed by Sirius.

Pay structure:
Howard license his show to SiriusXM. He is not an employee of Sirius.

Artie/Benjy/Fred/Gary and Robin. Independent contractors. "performers" Payed by SiriusXM.

Scott DePace and the HowardTV staff. Howard license HowardTV to Indemand. They are all Indemand employees.

Sal/Richard/JD/Will/Jason and so on: They are SiriusXM employees. Howard gets a show budget each year from SiriusXM that he/Tim uses to pay the staff. Howard can't "pocket" any of this money since its SiriusXM money, not his.

BTW.. Howard raked in over 900 millions during the first 5 years on Sirius. Artie's salary was 650K. That is pocket change for Howard.

Abe Kanan is on Thursdays and Fridays, the rest of the week varies and there doesn't seem to be any set schedule. It's usually a series of replays of the shitty 1-hour shows - Chuck Zito, Jackie, Dr. Fisch, etc. I don't even bother to turn on the radio Thursday and Friday evenings, I sometimes check to see what's on other nights but turn it off unless it's the Shuffle.
