Awesome, good for her! One day I need to ask you how you deal with your children growing up and leaving the nest. So.. Fucking...Horrific to me, at this juncture to have my kid move out.

It's really cold here for us natives right now, but we are not used to anything below 50° Fahrenheit.

It's not a good story, with my daughter. She is MY daughter, afterall...so when she hit 16 she turned into a total asshole. I won't even repeat some of the things she said to her mommy, nor tell you how close she came to death - 'cause I was dealing with a million other things at the same time as a mouthy little turd of a daughter. Her dad and I were on good terms, so I called him and told him that it was his turn.

She's been back off and on, I still financially supported her (still do on many levels) - but if the 2 of us had've continued, one of us may have ended up mortally wounded.

We have an excellent bond now, and though that was a rough time...I still think it was the right thing to do.

Now, my boys...they have no daddy that I do well with, to send them to. Those 2 and I are going to make it through teen years together no matter what.

I know you are self aware enough to know that your Daughter may have acted out because she knew you were dealing with a million other things, and perhaps thought you were not her priority.

Doesn't excuse the behavior in any way though.
