I used to buy those Marvel Universe and DC Who's Who comics that explained everyone's powers and what not. I still look through those from time to time. For instance, Spider-man can lift/press 20 tons while The Thing can lift/press 80 tons. Captain American can lift/press 1 ton.

The hulk's strength is directly tied to his anger, therefore making it impossible to find out what his max strength is.
