I've got over 200 various clips from the show during it's N&A incarnation, and the one thing that really sticks out is how little Rick offered the show in terms of comedy. I actually rate him higher than Artie as a stand-up, but as a radio host, it was better that he left--you could tell as time went on that he was fed up with Artie's long-winded stories, but more fed up with the fact that he himself had precious few to offer in return.

As for Artie's intellect, it begins and ends with whatever books he last read and movies he last watched. He's in a bit of a time warp comedically. He's smarter than he'll let on, but I'd never call him an intellectual. At the very least, he's smart enough to have left politics off the show. Nick would have done well to do the same; he might still have been employed.

Nemo's right, you don't find the guy funny yet to seem to piss away a good amount of time listening to him anyway.

So you live in a shitty east coast city in a bad Neighborhood you say you're scarred of. Reminds me of the Kinison Joke about Ethiopia and Famine. Move. Or don't but If what you say is true seems to me you are just some internet tough guy who would shit his pants if he spewed his vile shit in public.

Such words from a guy listening to the quran and I don't worry about the piece of shit criminals as I carry whenever I leave the damn house because the shithead "free shit army" no longer sticks to their own "hoods"
Artie's show is becoming more difficult to watch by the week, he is repetitive with his stories, I don't think Artie is a front man but as a second he can't be beat

Why do you think I'm listening the an audio book of the quran? I've also read the bible and the Torah and so have most Priest Rabi's and other theologians.

Anybody who tells me that Nick Was somehow a driving force on the show or even knows thing one about Radio is full of it. After forcing myself to listen to those shows I didn't laugh once (and I'm currently halfway through the audio book of the Quran). If you really want to listen to a train wreck listen to his last show. He is constantly battling what little audience he had with his "witticism". He spews bigoted if not down right racist verbiage at a pretty consistent pace. He doesn't expound on any of his right wing wigtard views when challenge by his audience and simply says that the "geeks" who are listening to his show are to stupid to comprehend them that he won't lower himself to their level. I see why nobody other than his "internet guy" left the show with him because I believe that those podcast are a true glimpse of what a truly unpleasant human being he is. Funny thin he reminds me of my father. I had cousins who were mixed and their dad(my uncle) was black and he would make the same type of uncomfortable "jokes" right in front of them all.

So if you have a predilection towards verbal and visual masochism don't forget to tune in. Although I doubt that he will talk about his recent profesional setback with the Rick and Artie show.
I could not agree with everything you said more.

And you apparently are such a racist fucking asshole. The fact that that is also how Nicks thinks is why he lost his job. The Execs at Direct TV probably knew it was only a matter of time before Nick actually said something pretty close to that on the air and once he did the show would go off the air all together. And not because it was Nick "picking on black people" but because it's just plain wrong.

I am enjoying the Artie show very much. Nick was alright, but everything somehow had to connect to some liberal agenda, Obama, etc. Shit gets tiresome. Like some cats have said here, if you want to hear politics there is plenty of that garbage all morning and day long on a.m. radio.

Lets keep it real, Artie was and will always be the draw to this show, Nick or no Nick.

I'm no Artie zombie either. Keeping it real.

I give Artie a little more credit in the brains department than you do, but I think what it really takes to be a good broadcaster is genuine curiosity, and Artie's got that......................as well as the balls to ask some uncomfortable questions.

Nick would just "assembly-line" guests......................and everything else.
