What is they're fucking problem? Long before the "Hopper" Came along, Dishs' remote had this wonderful yellow button that when pressed would move recorded programing forward in one minute increments.......I haven't seen a commercial in years........

All I know is that I was with DTV for 14 years and for the last 4 or so could not get a receiver that wasn't glacially slow. You could call them up, complain, ask to BUY ONE, and they wouldn't even guarantee they'd send you their best model. That is a stupid-ass business model. Finally I gave up and got a free DISH setup and it's lightning fast in comparison. I agree the channel selection isn't quite as good but it's cheaper all the time and even better with the discount I got for the first year. I hear DTV came out with a better system so in another year if they offer me a good deal I'll switch again. I don't really watch enough to miss anything. The constant channel wars are ridiculous and partnering with Blockbuster is a waste of time. They suck.
