Your final thoughts on the Nick & Artie Show

I'm actually kind of sad. I really enjoyed the two together. It was a nice change of pace from the Stern Show. Yes, we all know Artie is the superstar here, but they had great chemistry, an interesting dynamic. Nick did a good job of hosting and kept the show moving. Although I hated how he turned everything into a political diatribe.

I will greatly miss how these two would get into fights over everything. I'm guessing that Bonnie Bernstein fight was the last straw for Nick. But I don't know, it's very strange. I thought this would last at least the entire contact so you know something went down if DTV broke the contract (don't think Nick would leave all that money on the table by quitting)....unless Artie is using again and Nick didn't want to baby sit or enable Artie.

I hope that's not the case.

We'll never know why Nick got fired but there has to be more to think. The ratings probably dipped in the move to Directv and they needed skapegoat.

It's not like Ken Kohl would fire himself for booking gay bands, making the show stick to a "script", and relying too heavily on the TV aspect and forgetting about the radio audience.

    I'm bummed.
He's Rick. He's Martie. They got more kids than Rick Lombardi.
My comments are based on my opinion only.

GOOD POINT KEV! if it had to do with ratings, they should scrap the gay bands more than anything!

yeah, great, they got that stage. save it for the guys like Nils Lofgren and Harry Schearer or anyone who's like a PROFESSIONAL musician.

or just redecorate the whole thing and make a green room or SOMETHING. i hate the bands so much, every single time they have them i fast forward. and if they aren't bad enough, WHY must they be interviewed every single time?! it's soooo boring.

oh, los lonely boys was actually pretty good too though.

i will definitely miss the old days of Nick and Artie. Before DTV, the new studio, etc. Before the twins. When it was just Nick, Artie, and Dan and that dank basement studio. le sigh.

Nick started looking for another gig IMMEDIATELY after Artie got arrested in Paris. Pissing the studio and the 'flu' likely justified it even further. And then Nick left and probably took a buyout. Smart move. I hope Artie is sober. Doubtful. Hopefully the show ends on a better note than MadTV and Sirius did.

Yelling, carrying on bad and cursing
Complete embarrassment to the Ruler as a person.

Yah it sucks. When either one of them was out "sick" the show lagged. I'll prob watch tonight just to see if Artie has anything to say about it but I doubt he will/can.

It really is crazy the difference in studio's. The first one was literally big enough for 5 people to barely fit in, and then the new studio is so freaking huge compared to the closet the other one was in

OK I'm in the vicinity of WINZ if in the car, or I guess I'll download Iheartradio. I used to use sticher to get N&A but frankly that app sucked. The show airs at like 2 am on directv. I already have it set to record. This should be interesting with no Nick. Gonna miss the guy.
