You don't get medical benefits?" Artie then stopped talking & gave Nick the silent treatment for approx 5-10 minutes of air time as Nick struggled to keep the one-sided show going all by himself. Artie made his point. Even though Nick never spoke ill about unions like that again, I think Artie the proud former Long-Shoreman & SAG member never forgot that. I think there was bad blood simmering since the beginning due to Nick's political views & constant desire to keep the show all sports.
Artie's very pro-union (not just the city) for a very good reason--the guys on the docks all took great care of him and are also very loyal to him--not to mention how much material he got from working down there. Being blue collar has a lot of advantages.

I had totally forgotten that Mike hated his father until someone reminded me, and then once I was reminded, and he all of a sudden went from his death bed to being OK it did make me wonder about the timing of that......
The timing of it all just struck me as odd. First Mike said that his dad basically was MIA for 35 years then all of the sudden they're all huddled around his terminally ill hospital bed and Mike is too stressed to answer any questions about the fate of Nick. Now that its official nick is gone, his father makes a miraculous recovery and there's no more mention of him. Strange is all...

And so am I. Was a Vice President in my lodge for many years and spent a lot of time battling management as they looked for every loop hole to fuck with the workers. Contract negotiations, grievances, etc. When Nick went on that anti union rap I got so pissed I wanted to put a bullet thru the screen. It's obvious Artie was highly insulted by it too. I think the political rants were the first cracks in the relationship...

I am sooooo with you on this. My husband was part of a union for years and also would literally say to me when we would watch the show-"What they hell is wrong with Nick? Does he even know what he is talking about? Does he not get that I am willing to bet that a good majority of his audience has been or is in a union? What an asshole."

What's sad is that Nick would only spout what the Right would feed him. Kinda like no real thoughts of his own. He came off, to me sounding more like he didn't know what he was talking about, and more like he had to say that because that's what Right Wing cronies would say. That's when he totally lost me.

I'm sure the constant playing of the Nick sound clip, "You liberal jerkoffs!" went over big with all the obvious liberal/democratic comedic & athletic guests they had.
It was no surprise when Brian Jones attacked the life size cutout of Nick in effigy, you know he really wanted to kick Nicks ass for real for all the constant Obama bashing. Nick should've left his political views to himself. I believe his angry rants were what put the nails in his coffin.

Again, I completely agree with you. While I don't think Nick's Political Views are the entire reason he's sitting at home right now while Artie & The Gang are on the air, I think just as you said, when the exec's added everything up, that was probably the thing that put Nick in the get rid of column than the keep him column.

Although, the more I've been thinking about this based on what Artie said Monday night, and the fact that the show had to be delayed a week from coming back, I think that after the blowout Artie and Nick had that final show on 12/21/12, that Nick and Artie had a meeting with their bosses, and that they exec's told Nick that due to he and Artie not getting along, thus having a blowout happen on the air, due to Nick's political and sometimes borderline racist and hateful views and comments etc, and also due to the fact that when Artie was out, and Nick was there with a fill in, let's face it, it was snore fest, while when Nick was out, and it was Artie with a fill in, it was not, and of course due to the fact that between the two Artie is a bigger name, in order for Nick to keep his in order to keep his job, Nick had to no longer bring up any political talk, stop with anything that was border line racist and not to be so down and miserable about everything. Essentially asking Nick to change everything he is and has based his career on. I think he was given some time to think about it, and agreed to make those changes to keep his job, but when it got to be Monday January 7th, the day the show was set to return, he just couldn't bring himself to do it, let the exec's know, and was fired.

And that would explain the reason why they were not ready to go with the Artie Lange show on 01/07/13 too.

If you're asking about where to download it, that's against forum rules and will get you banned, and Dawg will not be happy.

I've been doing searches for a long time and never found anything.
The only thing that's ever shown up is some short youtube vids that got posted on this forum.

Oh I totally get that, I guess cap was bad term. I meant something like what was shown above, streams or clips. But I just looked on their youtube channel and they do have them, never bothered to check that before.
